Our Promise This Season
Rooted and Rising in June
June arrives with longer days and a steady kind of hope. For families who held on through the hardest stretches of the year, summer is more than a season. It is proof that they made it this far, and that they are not walking forward alone.
At Palmer House, June is a month of reconnection. Reuniting families. Restoring stability. Standing close to the people who need us most when it matters.
This month we lean into belonging. Because every family deserves a place to come home to, and a community ready to help them rebuild.
Standing With Families. Every Step.

June Awareness — National Reunification Month
Bringing Families Back Together
June is National Reunification Month, a time to honor the families working to come back together after separation, and the people and systems that help make it possible. For most children in foster care, the goal is reunification, returning safely home to a stable and supported family.
At Palmer House, we know reunification is rarely about a single missing piece. It is about housing, income, mental health, and a network that does not give up. Through our family support and Safe Sanctuary programs, we help parents close the gap between a plan and a home.
When we surround families with real support, we give them a true chance to stay together not just on paper, but for good.
"Reunification is not just a court outcome. It is a family learning to trust the ground beneath them again."
National Reunification Month reminds us that every family deserves a real chance to come home, and that real support makes all the difference.

This Month's Need: Help a Family Come Home
Reunification only holds when the basics are in place. This month, parents working to bring their children home need stable housing, parenting support, and help covering the gap between a plan and a front door.
$75 donation stocks a kitchen for a reunified family's first week. $150 helps clear a deposit hurdle. Any gift keeps a family moving toward home.

Real Impact — Coming Home Again

When a Family Is Made Whole A father came to Palmer House determined to bring his children home. After a season of job loss and unstable housing, his kids had been placed in temporary care. He had a plan to get them back, and almost no margin for error. Through our Safe Sanctuary program, he was connected with stable housing support, parenting and life skills coaching, and community partners who walked with him through every requirement and every court date. This month, his children moved back in. The first dinner at their own table. The first night under one roof again. He did not do it alone. That is why we are here. Transitional Housing Stable housing support to give a family a foundation to rebuild on. Life Skills Coaching Parenting and life skills coaching to help close the gap between a plan and a home. Community Network Connections to partners who walk with families through every step.
